Five Basic Questions People Are Asking About The Campaign

1.   What are we doing? Present the Project Statement! This two to three sentence statement is designed in order for the entire congregation to get their hands around what we are doing. Every child, youth and adult should be able to repeat this statement. This is the project!

2.   Why are we doing it? Connecting the what to the why. Link the project to the mission of the church. This represents who we are and our purpose in ministry.

3.   When are we going to do it? This is the timeline of the campaign. Point out main events (calendar). May wish to hand out or have available in foyer of church when service is dismissed.

4.   How are we going to do it? Partnership with PMC. Capital Stewardship Campaign that is a spiritual journey as opposed to fundraising. Biblical basis for partnering with those who are outside of local church (I Kings 5). Overview of Solomon and Hiram.

5.    What do you want me to do? Partner with God in this spiritual journey. (Overview of I Chronicles 29-29-David, Leaders, Congregation) It’s not about what others do; it’s about what God wants me to do! Pray and ask God what He would have you do in regard to the future of the church. Everyone counts! All are important to God! Everyone matters to God! “Pastor, what should I give?” I can’t answer that question, but whatever you give, as your pastor I want it to glorify God!

Thoughts for Pastor’s Presentation for the “Campaign Theme” Campaign

Leaders must lead by being Absolute- (unrelenting resolve, they own the dream, its heart deep in them, they own the ministry’s future, sure of the future)

Leaders must lead by being Aggressive- (brazen tenacity, step up to the plate, they use their influence)

Leaders must lead by being Audacious - (bold persistence, bold about the future)

Leaders must lead by being Authoritative - (they own the future - it’s theirs, they talk about the future from the position of victory)

Leaders must lead by having an Abandoned Faith - (praying in faith is giving everything you know about yourself to everything you know about God; declare the purpose of God and the provision of God over the ministry’s future)
